I have made a huge mistake by sending nude pictures to my EX. I'm fully aware of how wrong I was and at the time I just couldn't stop myself. I'm young (17) and was stupid, as of now I've learned to never do it again. I sent them out of being pressured to always please him, but I eventually realized from friends that I didn't have to put up with things that made me unhappy. I broke up with him a month ago and for the past month, he has been threatening to post those pictures and to ruin my life unless I did what he said. He literally said he was in control and that he would ruin my life if I showed any signs of happiness. This is affecting my health entirely. I have been getting headaches easily for the past month. Depression kicks in and at times I can't breathe and do irrational things. Also, I do have evidence such as AIM logging and text messages of these threats. I've truly learned from my mistake and would really need any advice on this. Should I go to the police? Not sure how it works. Please & thank you.

Anon,
I love everything Alison said to you. I especially want to add my support. You made a mistake, but we all do. There is nothing OK about how your ex is treating you. It is harrassment, it is immoral and it is just plain mean.
The best thing you have done is keep documentation of his threats. That was smart, smart, smart.
Please follow up on the links Alison gave you, and please come back and let us know what happens, OK?

I am so sorry this is happening to you!
First of all, please stop blaming yourself. Many couples have intimate photos of each other, and reasonable and mature people do not use them as threats. He is threatening to commit a crime, and I absolutely would call the police and ask what you are able to do, as he is harrassing and threatening you.
I posted about cyberbullying at another thread: Threatening to post my nude pictures. Please read this, as there is an organization that you can also contact: http://www.wiredsafety.org/911/index.html. It is great that you have written proof, and you can also contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) with this information...the details are at the article link above.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions. We would love to hear what these organizations advise you to do, as this would help many other women who are being threatened in this way.
Take care, and we hope to hear from you again.
