I posted a form the other day with my concerns and I was helped very quickly and gave me good information... But I'm still a little concerned as for the herpes risk?? I keep feeling a ever so slight tingle on my bottom lip region and i have seemed to have found a tiny (I mean it's really small) bump on my lip.
If this is just a cold sore I'm fine. Do cold sores last forever if it is "oral herpes"? Is oral herpes and just normal herpes the same thing?? If someone could clarify it would help me so much and releive my stress.
The spot does not hurt, it's small, not really visible.

Hi Cosgirlkay,
Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community.
Oral herpes is an infection with the herpes simplex virus around the border of the lips. Oral herpes causes tiny, fluid-filled lesions called cold sores or fever blisters.Since you are describing yours as a bump, instead of blister filled with fluid, it sound to be something else.
Here is some additional information for you to review: Facts About Oral Herpes
Do you think perhaps it's is a skin reaction similar to a pimple that could be a white head or black head?
I hope this helps.
Be well,
