Update to my question about the sudden appearance of a dark mole

I posed a question here a few months back:

and I took the advice and brought my child to her pediatrician. She advised us to take her to the Dermatology dept. at the hospital and her appointment was today and it looks good - a typical mole. It's faily large and dark but normal. We'll keep an eye on it but all is well.
