I am a 44 year old female who sufferes from debilitating migraines every 25 days, they last 4 days nonstop, and I end up losing 5 pounds. I am unable to work as a nurse anymore and am unable to care for my family. These migraines occured after my total hysterectomy in 1999, before that I had never even experienced a headache.
My first Doctor told me to deal with it and gave me copious amounts of narcotics and sleeping pills. I have since found another GP, but like many others they are at a loss at treating migraines.
I am looking for more information on trying to prevent these horrible episodes.
any info would be greatly appreciated
thank you
lisa
