Gwen shares PMS/premenstrual syndrome treatments that worked for her.
Gwen:
I guess it would be called talk therapy where I talked with the therapist, just kind of about what is going on, but I think probably the main thing that she helped me with was having awareness that I was having the issue because of PMS and not that that was just me, and doing things like keeping track of my menstrual cycle on the calendar just so that I know whenever I start feeling that way that I go look at the calendar and say okay, where am I in my cycle, and is it PMS or is it some other issue? That has really probably been the most helpful thing, and then also just strategies like watching my diet and making sure I get enough rest and exercise. This is a really big factor for me and as I get busier, it becomes harder to get exercise, but the biggest help is getting plenty of exercise and having a healthy diet.
