A growing body of scientific evidence suggests that faith my indeed bring us health. People who attend religious services do have a lower risk of dying in any one year than people who don't attend. People who believe in a loving God fare better after a diagnosis of illness than people who believe in a punitive God. There are many clinical studies done that have shown the difference on health outcomes between two groups of patients. One was prayed over the other was not. The former did better and healed faster after invasive heart surgeries. A similar study was conducted to see the effects of praying over patients with neurodegenerative conditions, those who were prayed over did better overall in longevity, healing and quality of life while experiencing the diseases.
Where are you spiritually? Do you think prayer should be part of our healthcare system?

And here is a site that blew me away www.pathtofaith.com, click on the videos of TV interviews that Dr Nemeh gave after years of quietly working what many called "miracles". An Anesthesiologist by taining working for the Cleveland Clinic is bringing his faith into his role as physician. Amazing story! I heard he will be on the Oprah Show soon.
