I can’t believe that I am only a couple of days out from getting my next chemo and I am STILL sick!! This is really driving me nuts!
Yesterday I went to the Biltmore Fashion Park to get a couple of things and I had to basically run out of the store to the parking lot. I got sick again in the parking lot by my car. It was horrible! I just don’t understand how I can be feeling pretty good one minute and then next thing I know I am throwing up again. Well I’ve already gotten it out of the way this morning, so hopefully I won’t feel nauseated when I’m driving to CTCA.
I bought a ticket to go home to Park City tomorrow. It will be nice to be in the cool mountain air and have a change of scenery. I am a little nervous about flying and the airport since this will be the first time that I have flown this year.
Now I am sitting here in the infusion room at Cancer Treatment Centers. It’s pretty nice to be able to sit here with the lazy boy chair and be online, all while getting a blood transfusion. That’s right, the blood work they did today indicated that my red blood cells were down which would explain why I am feeling a little run down. The transfusion takes about 3 hours so it looks like I will be stuck here till about 8pm tonight. The doc did give me nausea medicine, but it really hasn’t helped. I still feel like I have a huge headache and feel queasy. The nurse just came by to tell me that I am getting a dose of zometa as well. This is the drug that is supposed to help strengthen my bones. I am scheduled to get this about every month.
