What casues vaginal bleeding with bowel movements?

I am 54 years old and currently in the early stages of menopause and periodically I have vaginal bleedings with bowel movements that last for approximately 1-2 hours. I had a D & C last April, test came back fine. I am obese and take meds for hypertension.
