Today we are leaving to head back to New Zealand. Our flight doesn’t leave until tonight so we are thinking of doing a cruise along the harbor.
Yesterday we took a ferry to Manly Beach. The boat ride was short, but absolutely beautiful! I can’t believe how many cool beaches line the harbor. There are tons of little coves with private areas of sand. Manly beach was very different than Bondi Beach. It was much more quaint with a long paved boardwalk. The shore was lined with trees that looked like pine trees, which was very unexpected. We didn’t have much time, but walked for a good 30 minutes along the path. There were bikers, joggers and walkers everywhere. The path took us around to an even smaller beach where people were snorkling and swimming. We were wishing that we had more time to explore, but we needed to head back to get ready for the Opera.
Hopefully today we can explore some more beaches and maybe even rent some bikes or something. My body is exhausted from the walking, but we have been super fortunate with the weather. It is pretty close to perfect. It has been sunny with slight humidity and a nice cool breeze.
The Opera House was amazing. I had no idea how huge it was. We had seats in row five right near the symphony. The music was beautiful, but I was so tired from the day I ended up falling asleep halfway during act one. I ended up sleeping through almost the entire show. Oh well, it was worth a try.
