I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2007. In 1979, when I was in my early 30'sI was diagnosed with Pulmonary Sarcoidosis. I was on prendisone for about 5 yrs then went into a remission (at least I thought it was a remission). Almost 30 yrs later I was having trouble breathing, shortness of breath, etc and went to a pulmonary doctor at the University of Chicago. They did some tests and told me I had Pulmonary Fibrosis, a result of the Sarcoidosis I had almost 30yrs prior. I will be 65yrs old soon and still working (I hope to retire soon but with this economy I'm not sure because I need the health care)
My "buddy silver", my oxygen tank, comes with me wherever I go... work, shopping, camping, my grandkids hockey and baseball games, etc. I know there is no cure and my lungs will progressively get worse, but I intend on living a long and fulfilling life!
My motto is "don't give up"..... and I won't!!!
Good Luck and God Bless
