I have been diabetic for 32 years on insulin, I am 43 years old. Six weeks ago went to ER with severe pain in upper stomach, just under sternum. Was told to stop taking Nexium, which I was on since March 2010, as they thought I was having a reaction. Doc put me on a bland diet, toast, soup and crackers. Four days later, wound back in ER, worse that ever, lost 6 pounds in 5 days. This ER doctor did CAT scan, ultrasound and blood work, all normal. Suggested Celiac Disease, so I went gluten free on Oct 8th! Stomach pain and diahrrea went away after second day, fatigue slowly going away. But two weeks ago, I started having small area of pain next to right breast, kind of on ribs under arm, feels like a bruise. Regular doctor said no lymph trouble, maybe muscule pull. Ob/Gyn said could be related to cyst under right breast (2009 mammogram was fine) or small mass in armpit. Scheduled a mammogram and ultrasound next week. Still having pain on and off, mostly due to too much activity. Could lymph nodes be trying to clear toxins from my body? Can't get in to see Gastroenterologist until first week of December. Any thoughts? Thank you!!!!
