The patient is aged 29. A kink in the ureter causing the hydronephrosis was repaired at age 9, and kidney stones were experienced at age 27. Pain in the area of the kidney has been more or less constant before and after these events. Doctor has advised patient that pain will be experienced. However, the medications used to combat the pain have not been effective. What can be done?
