im 40 this december... my partner and i decided to have another child to add to our family... i got pregnant through artificial insemination... i decided to have a natural child birth knowing this was my last baby i wanted things to be different... i was in labor for 3 weeks... and went into the hospital to deliver october 28th... my dialation stopped but the labor pain continued.. so i oppted for the eppy at the last minute which relaxed me enough to start dialating again... 15 minutes later our bouncing baby boy was born... my labor seemed uneventful... meaning no complications w/ me or baby... we were released a couple days later... went home and a few days later started gettin a head ache that went from behind my eyes to down my back... went to the er november 6th... they said eppy leak and needed a patch to come back in the am... went home and went to bed... at 3 am got up to go potty and stumbled into the bathroom, couldnt use my left hand to pick up my squirt bottle or wask cloth to clean stitches... was stumbling back to bed with jammies round my feet because i couldnt pull them up... my partner asked me what was wrong... i told her i was just tired and she freaked out and called the hospital... i had slured speach and drooping left side on my mouth... er said rush over... i had stroke in my right temple while i slept... if you saw me today you would have never guessed... i am one of the lucky ones with no outward signs... BUT... with my first two pregnancies i could always loose the baby fat easly... now i am 40 pounds over weight... daily head aches that my neuro tells me to take ONLY ALEVE.... and monthly migraines... (which w/a 3 year old border line autistic boy, i cant afford to be down with a migraine for a day) depression, sleeping problems, anxiety, no motivation or energy to do much of anything... if i walk too long i get a head ache and i fatigue easily. I cant take any sort of diet pills, have to watch my blood pressure so no heavy workouts (i still have another abnormal blood vein in my brain) i have short term memory issues and cant do much with numbers anymore... (count backwards from 100 is almost imposible unless u have all day to listen to me stutter around) i am beyond frustrated... my obgyn doc put me on ambien for sleep,welbutrin 300 for depression and anxiety,and 500 mg 3 times a day of metformin to help with my weight... i hate taking medication of anysort so i was wondering if there is anything i can possibly do to help myself in my situation... im not looking for miracle... just some other oppinions... my neuro is a quack so i no longer see anyone for my brain issues.... ok so thats me in large nut shell...If you have any other questions please feel free to ask...thanks for your time and paitence

oh and btw... out of 3 neuro docs that ive seen, my obgyn, and all the er people that worked on my case... no one knows why i had a stroke or how to prevent my next one... i guess it all is up to my miracle drug ALEVE!!!! giggles (rolls eyes)
