Day 2, 20% Waxing Crescent
Reflection: “Pain and death are part of life. To reject them is to reject life itself.” ~ Havelock Ellis
Mood: Acceptance – This Too Shall Pass
The first day of menstruation was a tough one. Physically I didn’t feel well – vertigo, headache, and cramps. I was doing all I could to take good care of my body.
Resting helped. Yummy food helped. The heating pad helped. And of course love did its wonders as well, as it always does. I felt better before going to bed.
Then in the middle of the night, I was awoken by cramps. They felt deep and cold and lasted for a very long time. I had a hard time falling asleep, so I just lay awake being with my pain…
This morning the pain subsided. It passed once again, as it always does.
No matter how hard we try to beat it back, we’re never completely free of pain. Perhaps pain is simply a part of life, to be accepted, endured, and understood.
Energy Level: My body still feels a little weak and fragile. I’m amazed by how strong and delicate it can be at the same time.

Cycle Harmony’s Mood Scale is based on Dr. David Hawkins' "Map of Consciousness." Each mood category is assigned a numerical score from the lowest 1 (shame) to the highest 16 (peace). Moods with a score of 9-16 support life, and moods with a scale of 1-8 deplete life.
The purpose of the Mood Scale is to help you understand your emotional patterns and make a conscious decision to feel more positive emotions by bringing awareness to how you feel.
