After hearing a low frequency tone in my left ear and experiencing severe headaches, a CT scan was taken. It revealed that I have an Arachnoid Cyst on the left temporal lobe. The neurologist says that this does not cause my symptoms of tinnitus and headache. The cyst has a circmference of 28mm, so walnut sized.
I don't have balance issues or vomiting, no loss of vision, no loss of movement... Just this all encompassing headache and that constant droning sound. An ear specialist didn't find anything wrong with my ears, there was no pressure, no hearing loss,... But my head feels like it is going to explode sometimes. Also most of it is on the left side. Just like the cyst.
I take Piracetam and Emconcor. The piracetam took away the sound in the beginning, but now it is back as hard as before. The emconcor is a betablokker for lowering my blood pressure. For the headache I take Perdolan, but it doesn't really seem to work.
I'm waiting on an MRI scan next month, to see what the real cause may be. I don't know if I can hang on another month. I never experienced headaches as severe as these.
