Concerned about the toxins and allergens in commercial window and glass cleaners? I was too. In fact, Windex Advanced Glass and Multi-Surface Cleaner scores a big fat “D” on the Environmental Working Group site because of chemicals like ammonium hydroxide, ethanolamine, and hexoxyethanol that I can’t even pronounce.
This easy DIY recipe is just the thing to make your own natural window cleaner. No streaks, no ammonia!
Here’s what you will need for natural window cleaner:
16 oz spray bottle
1 ½ cup white vinegar
½ cup distilled water
8 drops of any citrus essential oil (Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit, or Wild Orange)
Directions:
-Add ingredients to spray bottle.
-Shake bottle with each use. Remember oil and water don’t mix.
-Ready to use and cheaper too!
