Yesterday was a day of bitter fighting - with someone I care for a lot.
Until the raging migraine, the fatigue and the fear of being sleepless, yet again, took over. True to my expectations, I got up several times and, soon enough, it was daylight. Like a zombie, I ambled around the house, had breakfast directly from the fridge, watched tv, and crashed back to bed.
But, rather than take a nap, as is the usual destination of this scenario, I decided to stay awake. Turned off the tv. Decided to... THINK! Review the elements of the fight.
I begged for God's help, promising to analyze fairly. Slowly, I was able to let go of my defensive stand. Gradually, I was representing the view of the other side. Then, I seemed to have reached the top of the hill. I was tired. I saw the sunshine and felt its heat tempering the spring breeze.
Finally, I was talking with God: WHAT DID I DO WRONG, LORD?
Shhhhh...Relax... Now, think again.
SORRY...AHHhhhh... I felt relieved.
Ok, first you were in a bad mood. Then you picked a fight. But, later you admitted your mistake. Then, you are sorry. Finally, you have allowed your body to relax, rather than continue your rage.
Your 50-second minute is over. I know you enjoy challenges. Here's one: APPLY THE LESSON YOU LEARNED HERE TO YOUR DAILY LIFE.
Thank you, God, thank you, Sir.
