For three months now (probably longer but I don't frequently look down there) I have had a bright red spot on/below my urethra, above my vagina. It is a small area, very red and concentrated to just the area right on the bottom part of my urethra. There is no redness, inflammation, or any abnormalities besides this one specific spot. I cannot really tell if it is swollen or inflamed, but I believe it is to a small extent. The strange thing is that it doesn't hurt or burn to touch it (gently) and causes no issues or pain during urination. I do occasionally get a very sharp shooting pain if my pants are too tight etc but it is quickly alleviated by readjusting or washing. The only time it becomes a MAJOR problem is during intercourse. Trying to insert anything into my vagina must first push up against the urethra and this red spot with a significant amount of pressure and the pain is quite severe making it almost impossible. Once inside the vagina, the pain almost completely subsides but is still a bit uncomfortable. I have been to my gyno for an exam and she said everything was normal even after looking at it. My pap showed possible BV and I asked for antibiotics to get rid of it in case this was the cause but nothing changed. I just had a urinalysis and urine culture through my primary dr, but she said they were "normal". However, my leukocyte esterase was 250 cells/ul, WBC were 7-12, and nitrites 0. Dr said if i had an infection the WBC would be higher. Urine culture showed "mixed flora". She insisted i am fine, even after describing the redness (she didn't physically see it as this was my primary doctor not gyno). I have now started monistat 3 in case of yeast, at times my urine is cloudy. So far, the redness hasn't responded to this either. I am attempting to get a referral to urology, but am perplexed that this doesn't seem to resemble any normal conditions i can find info on. Any thoughts?? I am only 24, I don't have any STD s but found out my gyno did not test me so its POSSIBLE but my risk of exposure is extremely low. Have had the same partner for two years (who HAS been tested).
