I had a regular period in March 2017. My husband and I had intercourse around the end of March. I took a Plan B the next morning. About 5 days after taking the Plan B I had heavy bleeding for about 5 days. A week or so later I had another heavy period. So, in April I had what I thought was 2 normal heavy periods each lasting 5-6 days with clotting. Moving forward to May 11, I took two pregnancy tests and both are positive. My question is how in the world a pregnancy survived under those circmstances? We have 4 children so I am very aware of how easy it is to get pregnant. We are both so confused because we thought for sure with all of that bleeding I was definitely not pregnant.
I am having mild lower back and abdominal cramps every day (mimicking cramps I get before my cycle each month).
Can someone explain to me how a pregnancy survived these conditions?
