A few years ago, my older brother and my Mom accompanied me as I had my wisdom teeth removed. I was lucky enough to have a doctor that cared about my feelings and answered my concerns. She was able to give me dissolvable stitches so I wouldn't have to come back to have them removed. The surgery went ok.
When I was coming out of the anesthesia, I got up too quickly and the nurse seemed to force me down. I didn't realize that I'd have "jello" legs. A few minutes later, the nurse helped me into the wheelchair and again in order to get me into the car.
I was hungry and we stopped for some shakes and burgers at McDonald's! I was able to eat a cheeseburger by creating the smallest bites and drank some shake.
I appreciated the TLC care that my doctor and family provided to me during this time. I was no longer fearful about having the surgery.
