Your question is best answered by a dental professional. Generally speaking patients should have healthy gums and enough bone to hold the implant in order to get one and maintain it successfully. Because dental implants fuse with the jawbone in order to anchor the tooth, adequate bone density and quality is one of the most important requirements for dental implant success.Another consideration is overall health since this is a type of surgery and poor health can impact healing and recovery.
