I'm Asian, with Chinese on my mom's side. She's very excited about the date and the fact that the Beijing Games will begin on 080808 at 08. We were supposed to be in Beijing for the Olympics, partially for the event and partially to celebrate my 30th anniversary with my hubby (3 is a magic number in my family). However, inauspicious things happened that prevented us from going. Oh well!
