Sperm goes up the fallopian tubes to fertilize the egg and then the fertilized egg comes back down the tube to implant in the uterus. So, a natural pregnancy would not occur without them.
With IVF (in-vitro fertilization) you can get pregnant- assuming there are functional ovaries still present.
