Anon, every individual is different, but all the references to the length of the fallopian tubes that I found estimate them to be about 10-11 centimeters (4 inches) long. Could it be possible that he said he removed 6 centimeters instead of 6 inches? If that is the case, then you would have perhaps 4-5 centimeters left.

The fact that you still have your period means that your ovaries are still releasing eggs and your uterus is still building up a lining in case it receives a fertilized egg. But without functioning fallopian tubes, it's a near-certainty that you would need IVF to conceive again. Clearly, it's possible, since there are a couple of women on this thread who have experienced it. But it's a very small chance.

The infertility meds you took before -- do you remember what they were?
