I think the best way to boost girl's self-esteems is to form bonds with their fathers. There is a great children's book author, Lance Waite, who has started writing books that help encourage father's bonding with their children. I only know of two books that he has written (there may be more that I don't know about) but they are... "A Day with My Dad," and "A Day with My Dad at The Beach." They are both great books that can be read to kids, about a little girl spending time with her dad. I think more of these kinds of books need to be written to encourage a bond between parent and child, because it is true that if a girl has a great healthy relationship with her parents, and more specifically her father, she will grow up to have a great self-esteem.
