Thank you for your comments about your shingles. Your pain sounds the closest I have read to the pain I experienced and am still having. From November 12th, '09, until just recently the pain had me doubled over. After I had the pain a month, my doctor prescribed Neurontin, which helped a little. The nerve endings also affected my colon which gave me an obstruction because for some reason, I became constipated. I bought stool softeners and a laxative which helped tremendously.
I hope you are feeling better. Tuesday I will have had Shingles for two months, and am just now feeling a little better; however, the waist swelling is still there.
