I've just had my 5th insertion of the pellets. I am 52 years old and i work with the public and have talk to many of my clients about the pellets. Majority of them that havent had hysterectomies have had trouble with breakthrough bleeding..also leading them to ablations or hysterectomies. I have read everyones comments on here. I can relate to them all. Im glad that i finally was able to find something to give the relief from all the symptoms of menopause i had for many years. The only downfall that im very disappointed in is the bleeding from fibroids that can happen if you havent had a hysterectomy. I did great for one year then started to spot and then would get heavier..and is happening like every 2 to 3 weeks. I was on 200 mg of progesterone for 14 days every three months untill a month ago and tried 100 mg everyday to see if it would help with the breakthrough bleeding since everyones body reacts different. But unfortunately its not helping me with the bleeding. So im gonna go back to taking the progesterone 200mg every 3 months. I had a edomet. biopsy of the fibroids a couple months ago it was not cancerous. But the fibroids do show up more on the pellets and thats why for the breakthrough bleeding from the fibroids.. So my next opton is to have an ablation to hopefully stop the breakthrough bleeding or a hysterectomy..but i will try the ablation first.. eventually within the next few months to be able to continue the pellets. Also taking the progesterone 100mg everyday had made my breasts EXTREMELY tender allover and i really am not feeling very well right now having the breakthrough bleeding and the extreme breast tenderness and just dont feel good at all. I know its hormone related somehow also. Hope this will pass soon. Because i have had the GREAT feeling that you can get fron the pellet insertions..it just isent happening right now.
Also i think anyone thats had a hysterectomy seems to have the best luck with the pellets. That way you dont have the breakthrough bleeding..having to get an ablation or hysterectomy and the side effects from the progesterone.
If anyone has had the same experience similar to this please let me know. Thank you.
