Anonymous from Midwest again - When I used the creams, I had no ill effects from the progesterone. I also didn't have much effects at all. The only thing the creams did was allow me to sleep through the night, I was able to dream again (didn't dream after menopause), & my night time leg twitching stopped. My vagina was also a bit less like the Sahara. It didn't elevate my estrogen enough to help with skin tone or hair. As for my bleeding since Nov 1, it was rather heavy with cramps in November, began to taper off in December. Some days I'll bleed for a few hours then it stops for a few hours. It doesn't seem to matter if I take 200 mg or 400 mg or 0 mg progesterone. I've tried cutting back due to the itching nipples from the progesterone. I still have enough testosterone in me that if I start scratching at my nipples, one thing leads to another....with myself. Since I'm nearly 60 & live alone, being horney isn't fun. It ruins my concentration & I get quite scatter brained. SInce my testosterone 'spike' when I first received the 150mg dose, I wondered if perhaps bipolars should get hormone tests to see if their testosterone spikes. I nearly felt bipolar with that spike - spending money, forgetting to pay bills, obsessed with sex, unable to sleep. It was like being manic. I'd really like a way to just have the estsrogen.
