I am 58 and I know when I am running low because I get the aches and pains you are referring to. I think our hormones do more than just keep us in balance but affect our whole system. The progesterone if you read the pamphlet from your pharmacy has side effects as break through bleeding and spotting especially I found when the dosage is too low, (but then I have the side effect of being too tired). The other it can give you periods again because if you have a uterus it builds up to be shred. Also one other side effect can be yeast infections. You may need a prescription dose that is higher than over the counter yeast medicines. Your doctor can prescribe 4 % Terazol. The store bought ones are usually 2% taken every night as a cream for 7 days. Sometimes it takes having to repeat it for another 7 days to get rid of it. You should also take acidophilus for the good bacteria and avoid too much sugar and starches that the yeast live off of. A yeast free diet can help. When you are doing hormones it is hard to get them to be precise for your body and they can only get them as close as a certain pellet dosage. Good luck! Jan
