Hi AZ,
I'm in FL and each physician in that program sets his/her own price I'm told. Sorry they wanted an arm and a leg in AZ! There are other options; you'll become a sleuth to find a perfect fit for you. I was recently advised by my ob/gyn that effective this year, Medicare will begin to pay one half the cost for the pellet since it's considered a hormone treatment for women. (previously I'd forked over $350.-$400. every 5 months, while the doctors fee and lab work was covered by insurance). If you can find an ob/gyn who is trained to use them, it seems your insurance might now begin to pick up some of the tab since many insurances add it to their reimbursement schedules once it begins to be reimbursed by Medicare. Many ob/gyns will still try to discourage you from bioidentical replacement; just keep pressing until you find someone who can using them to get your body back to optimum levels. No synthetics.
I'm pulling for you!
