I am 58 years old and my hormone specialist has me on 100mg of progesterone and told me never to quit taking it while having the pellet. I have never had any bleeding. When I first get the pellet, I have tenderness in the ovaries but it goes away in a couple of weeks. I would suggest to stay on the pellet to quit the episodes of bleeding.
