Thanks for this information. I had been hearing rumors that the plastic needed to be heated or if it was left in a car, that it would emit the harmful chemicals that cause cancer.

I'm skeptical, at best. Are all of our modern conveniences potentially cancer-causing? I've heard plastic, cell phones and deodorant, so far. I have to say, it's frustrating to decipher truth from fiction.

I am not planning to change any of my habits based on this one study, as we use plastic in everything...from food containers to toys...and this seems like an overwhelming and daunting road to go down, if plastics are indeed dangerous. Also, there have been many "scare-tactic" rumors going around, that I'm extremely skeptical about these claims. Of course, knowledge is power, and the more we learn about what is causing cancer, Alzheimer's, autism, and other diseases will help us create healthier lives for ourselves. I just don't want to jump on the bandwagon of forbidding a common substance in my life quite yet.
