Hi, Anon,

The short answer to your question is yes, absolutely. Anxiety can manifest in all those symptoms and more.

I have dealt with an anxiety disorder for a few years. In an anxiety attack, the symptoms are both psychological and physical, and can be very frightening while they are happening.

Panic attacks can make you short of breath, make your heart pound, make you nauseated and dizzy. The problem is that since all of these are symptoms of other medical conditions, you really need to see a doctor to rule out something physical being the cause.

The Mayo Clinic's page on panic disorders lists the following symptoms (you might have all, or just some of them):

Rapid heart rate
Sweating
Trembling
Shortness of breath
Hyperventilation
Chills
Hot flashes
Nausea
Abdominal cramping
Chest pain
Headache
Dizziness
Faintness
Tightness in your throat
Trouble swallowing
A sense of impending death

Here's a case study of a person having a panic attack, what it feels like and links to how it's treated:

Can you tell us any more about your symptoms? Have you been dealing with general anxiety or change in your life? Have you considered going to a doctor to rule out something else that might be going on?
