Gone with the Varilite Diode Laser! I went to a Board Certified Oral MaxilloFacial Surgeon in Richmond that has extensive experience with Venous Lakes. After further research, it's Oral Surgeons that use this type of soft tissue laser for Venous Lakes. What's great about the laser is that you have an immediate result. He kept firing at it until it turned white/gray. There was a small dark center that took about 2 weeks to completely fall off. I'm left with a very very tiny piece of white scar tissue that you can only see if you stretch the skin. The Dr that treated me is Dr. Joseph Niamtu in Richmond if anyone is interested. He's extremely experienced with this procedure and has a great bedside manner. He followed up with me with emails and calls. He was great!
What I'm shocked about is that so-called dermatogical or plastic laser surgeons never heard of this laser. Here are some medical articles, dental websites and Dr. Niamtu's site on this procedure for Venous Lakes: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2957073/
