No, nothing bad can happen. Every woman's vagina is actually very, very stretchy...think about this: it is designed to stretch to accommodate a baby's head. This organ is actually very resilient, so don't worry about hurting it.

What you might find is that a bigger tampon is uncomfortable, or may be difficult to insert because your muscles are "working against you" and are tight. I've had two babies vaginally, and sometimes it is uncomfortable to insert a regular tampon; other times it is not. It is really just the muscles if I'm trying to rush to insert it. Same with you-- if you find your regular tampon is not enough, try changing it more frequently or try a super (or different brands, too)...if it is uncomfortable, then you can try another type. Since you are used to using tampons, It will not damage any part of your vagina, if that is your worry.
