Wow Tina! From Sudafed to Levaquin????? This antibiotic is one of the most powerful antibiotics out there. I do not understand why your doctor prescribed it for sinus infections! It is known to work for pneumonia and kidney infections, I guess it may work for all respiratory infections. However, I am also surprised he gave you a full 10 day course...my husband is on a trache and he is a high risk for pneumonia, his pulmonologist gave him Levaquim a month ago but stressed the importance of NOT giving him for longer than 7 day...Remember that antibiotics DO NOT work for viral infections. So I assume the doctor has determined your sinus infection has a bacterial source, otherwise why would he prescribe it, correct?

With strong antibiotics like Levaquin, you better make sure the good bacteria in your gut is replinished! There are many natural treatments to fight sinus infections and to strengthen the immune system. I always try to use antibiotics as a last resort.
