I had a partial hysterectomy in 2008 and a total hysterectomy in 2012. Since that time I have gained over 85lbs. The physician that did my total hysterectomy felt that it was best that I did not take any type of hormonal replacement due to me having endometriosis. However; I found a physician that felt that I should have been given some type of hormone replacement. Since I have been on the hormone replacement I feel pretty much like my old self prior to the hysterectomy. I located a weight loss clinic where I live and the physician prescribed me an appetite suppressant. I have taking every day for almost 3 months and I have also incorporated walking. I have lost 10lbs and I am loosing a lot of the excess belly weight (inches). Its is a start and I still have a long way to go.. I encourage every woman that has had a hysterectomy to try walking and it will help out a lot.. Good Luck..
