Don't give up hope. I had total hysterectomy 3 years ago and even though I experienced the bloated belly, weight gain and my stomach will never be the same, I have finally managed to stop gaining and I've found things that help a lot. I stay away from simple sugars and I try to do sit-ups regularly. I don't over-exercise at all I just take opportunities to walk when I can but I eat smaller meals more often and that helps with the bloating. I also don't eat bread as much. I still enjoy some now and then, but I do things like have sweet potato fries instead of white potatoes or use spaghetti squash for my pasta. I take organic sulfur every morning which helps ALOT with inflammation and I drink green tea instead of coffee a lot of the time because coffee raises insulin levels. I've also learned how to dress to cover my belly fat with nice sheer or lace kimonos. There are a lot of loose fitting clothes designed to help so much lately. You
Might check into bio-identical hormones like estradiol and progesterone. Having hormone balance in so important and it helps me sleep which helps my energy levels. Find a doctor who is willing to prescribe them. They are much more common than they used to be. Not to be confused with synthetic hormones! If the body recognizes a substance as natural to the body, it's going to know what to do with it :)
