I had the exact same experience. My gynecologist sent me fir a consut with a Gunocplogy- oncologist That woman dared me into having a complete hysterectomy. Come to find out there was no cancer. Only a small polyp floating in my uterus ... Which had been detached with an in office test. Now I have to live in hell the rest of my life just because the Dr. Wanted the $5000 for her vacation she was going on the next morning after my surgery. She lied about not taking my ovaries then denied she ever promised that she wouldn't take them if the frozen section during surgery showed no cancer. She told me post surgery she never even said that. So beware. Doctors these days are looking for money. Don't let them scare you with the C word. She freaked me out since my Mom had just died of pancreatic cancer.
I am miserable and the doctor doesn't have to live in my now destroyed body. She didn't pay any attention to my pleading for quality over quantity if life. She wouldn't listen when I said I had no symptoms. She said it didn't matter since the lab report said cancer.
This turned out to be vey wrong!!! Pay attention to your gut feelings, not just what someone else is saying. The doctors life goes on as usual. You are the one who lives the rest of your life with the consequences.
