Alysia, thanks for your support! It's good to know there are others out there who are working through a plateau.
Virginia, I'm 5-10, and when I felt my best I weighed about 150 pounds. My clothes fit and I was exercising regularly and eating well. I felt lean but not skinny; athletic but not muscular, if that makes sense. (I have always been a pear shape as opposed to the apple shape; the bulk of my extra weight is in my abdomen, thighs and derriere).
In the last two to three years I just plain fell off all my wagons after we moved (twice), left a job and fell into a depression. I ate too much, of all the wrong foods, and I didn't exercise at all. I ended up gaining more than 50 pounds.
Now that that is all mostly, thankfully in the past, I am trying to get back to where I felt fit and healthy. The first 20 pounds, while not easy, did go fairly consistently.
I will work on the gluten products; that's good advice. Thank you for any other thoughts you might have.
