I have never heard of this, until I started doing some research. It also goes by the name "Shih-Shui", a type of "Chi-Kung", and for the male, there is a "Seminal Kung Fu". These are components of Taoism (which is better known in Western society).

I have not been able to find a good credible source of information, but have read two different reasons for practicing Ovarian Kung Fu, as it is claimed to:

1) alleviate or eliminate menstrual cramps and PMS, and ensure a smooth transition through menopause
2) "...strengthening the internal body and increasing sexual energy with a goal to optimize and preserve the health of the body, mind and spirit. It consists primarily of a series of special breathing and strengthening exercises along with specific energy circulation techniques.

Shih-Shui tones and invigorates the entire body, but most importantly the bone marrow, prostate, testicles, kidneys, vagina and ovaries are stimulated to noticeably increase vitality and overall health.

Since the human body produces the hormones internally, it means that we can actually seek cure and longevity from within ourselves. This discovery of Meixxx supports the legendary Taoist philosophy that there are “medicines” within ourselves that can be extracted to heal and extend life.”

I will do some more research, and post more information as I find it! Where have you heard of this, and it would be great to hear what information you have gathered! Are you interested in the aspects of Ovarian Kung Fu helping alleviate cramping/PMS symptoms or in its improvement of sexual health overall?
