Phobias can certainly be annoying. I have a phobia with needles. I cannot stand getting blood drawn or something simple like a flu shot. I still got my flu shot this year and I was previously in the U.S. Army so I certainly have had my fair share of shots.
I tend to not look while they are drawing blood or giving me a shot. I have to think to myself, “it will be over in 2 seconds” over and over again. I have not found a solution to my issue although, I deal with it by not looking. The anticipation before the shots is what causes many issues. I get very antsy and tend to have to use the bathroom (you know what I mean).
The best way to deal with my phobia is to try and calm down prior to the visit. Maybe a good case of Yoga will do it. I will certainly have to try next time.
