I think that I will propose the following studies and see if I can get some of those research funds:
Are people who have lost their job more stressed than those who haven't?
Are people with six children more stressed than those with one?
Are homeless people more stressed than those with homes?
Really, it makes you wonder about the very first meeting people have when they sit down to propose research projects. How exactly does it happen when someone can suggest a no-brainer like "are parents of kids with disabilities more stressed than those without?" and have no one in the meeting say, "um, that would be a YES."
