Thanks for your question and for finding EmpowHER. You are on birth control and used the withdrawal method--together those are pretty effective at preventing pregnancy. Agreed that some antibiotics can decrease effectiveness of birth control, and that's where that backup method (withdrawal method) is a great idea. You'll be fine, no worries. Great job at protecting yourself.
Acne is a normal premenstrual symptom for some women. If the symptoms you are experiencing persist (for a few weeks), become unbearable, or you happen to not get your period, something else could be going on, and you may want to get an appointment with your doctor.
