Reality TV is one thing. There are some shows I love, like Project Runway and Top Chef; but, that's about it.
Social Media is quite another thing, and part of how I make my living as a consultant to corporate enterprise. Used properly, certain social networking sites help expand careers and get your name in front of people you might otherwise not reach in your profession. Yes, I blog, I Twitter, and I have great connections on LinkedIn and Facebook. I also have recruiters constantly contacting me because they found my resume or profile there; and, with our economy in turmoil, that's a good thing.
