So how do you find a practitioner that will actually look at the person as something more than a lab value? I've been to 5 different endocrinologists and 3 general practice including a couple at major hospitals. They all insist that my problem is not related to thyroid hormones because the lab values are normal. Every time I ask, "if it isn't thyroid hormones, what is it? How can we fix it?" The answer I get is, "I don't know but it isn't your thyroid!" They make me out to be a whiny hypochondriac. People around me can tell something is wrong even when they don't know about my TT and related issues.
