There are different species of the ganoderma ("bright skin") fungus, one of which, ganoderma pseudoferreum, is responsible for root rot of cacao and coffee plants.

Here's an overview of the fungus (also referred to as a plant pathogen in other articles) as written on Wikipedia.

The brand, Gano coffee, is called "Healthy Coffee" because it is a blend of Brazilian coffee and the Reishi mushroom, ganoderma lucidium.

Hope this helps.
