A few of my relatives are taking cholesterol-lowering prescription drugs, and have really benefited from them. Some people are against using prescription drugs; others prefer trying the non-traditional route first. My cholesterol numbers were higher than what they should have been, so I increased my fiber intake and am exercising most days of the week.
Whatever your preference, it is best to do something... add fiber to your diet, exercise, eat more fruits & veggies. Limit intake of animal products, especially red meat, high-fat milk and cheese, and use egg whites instead of the entire egg. You can read more ideas below:
