I woke up after a hysterectomy operation, turned on my phone & there was a message from my doctor saying I have an overactive thyroid, this was 3 months ago. I was given carbimazole, getting up to 20mg daily, Ive been feeling so sick and cannot go out because I keep heaving. Ive stopped the carbimazole for 10 days & my gp has given me some pills for sickness. I feel constantly hungry but am finding it difficult to eat food without feeling extremely sick. I dont know if its because of my thyroid or my hysterectomy. Ive lost lots of weight and I am small framed anyway so I am feeling weak and miserable, I think my thyroid was 19. Can anybody tell me if this is very high and any advice would be appreciated. I am 44. Thankyou, Sue
