Are you saying that you had a regular menstrual period that began on March 9th (how long did it last?), and then another menstrual period that began on March 16th (and lasted 4-5 days?)
You may want to look at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) online pamphlet on Abnormal Uterine Bleeding, which is defined as, "abnormal bleeding is any bleeding that happens in the following situations, including bleeding between periods."
There are so many possible causes, and without knowing your age, I can only list possibilities: everything from fibroids to medication to hormonal changes.
Do you have an gynecologist that you see on an annual basis? I would make an appointment with a doctor, and they can check for any hormone fluctuations. Many women have abnormal bleeding at least once in their lifetime, so don't worry, but please make an appointment to find the cause.
